The Mausoleum was made for the Skanka Loss 2011 (Also known as Gagnef Festivalen) together with Petr Davydtchenko. The Festival, which is located in Gagnef on the banks of Dalälven, is mainly focusing on a mixture of music, arts and culture.
In this work we wanted to create a mysterious vibe that corresponded with the dreamy landscape of Dalarna. With its structure referring to the Mausoleum, a place of memory, of an act that occurred a half year previous ago in the mountain area of the Great Mountains, Poland. To amplify the presence of that particular act, we had a recorded sound from the mountain top installed within the closed walls of the construction. The heavy vibrating sound produced from the installation was merely a blur of wind.
